Growing up in Germany I have always been able to go anywhere I wanted in the world. If I could not go anywhere in the past it was because of not having the money or the time. Now, with COVID_19 things have changed dramatically and I can’t go anywhere for totally different reasons.

It’s been weeks now that I’m in lock down due to the Corona virus. A lot of memories are popping up while I’m thinking about how I lived my life in the past. Memories linked to all kinds of things – trips that I did, stuff that I usually do, people that I’m deeply connected to. Nearby countries that have always been part of my culture and that I have visited regularly are now far away and unreachable.

It is a fact that these things won’t change in the near future and that I’ll have to get my kicks out of these frozen memories for now.
